ELENA ATANASSOVA was born in Sofia on September 04, 1977. She graduated the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, majored in Theatre Acting in 1999.

Since 2011, she acts in the Plovdiv Drama Theatre where she performs in many plays among which Sex? Thanks, Don't Mind If I Do! after Dario Fo and Franca Rame (Best Actress Award at the BGMOT 2012 festival), No Name Orchestra, Blue Skies Square, Silence, please!, When Thunder Rolls, King Lear, etc.

In the past 12 years, she performed on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, The Youth Theatre, Tear and Laughter Open Stage, The Theatre of Satire, The Rhodope Drama Theatre "Nikolay Haytov", The Opera in Varna, Racho Stoyanov Drama Theatre in Gabrovo.

In 2003, Elena Atanassova was awarded the Rising Star Askeer for her Bridget Jones part in the multimedia single-actor play Bridget Jones's Diary, directed by Gergana Dimitrova.

The actress was only seven when she started her career in Bulgarian and foreign film and TV shows.
